Opinion pieces from none other than the heart and mind of Dave

The other day, me and a friend of mine ended up having a really bloated, technically exasperating conversation about Kiss. Not the act of kissing, but the infamous band with all the make-up. I was drunk and, come to think of it, he was drunk too. In other words, we were a couple of drunk fools proclaiming our love for Kiss and asking the universe why they had never received the critical acclaim from the General Public which they surely deserved.

Then just yesterday on the train, with the same friend, I said “I don’t like Kiss anymore” and this led to a new kind of exasperating conversation: one where he said I was talking rubbish, and that I love them.

This got me thinking about opinion. It’s supposed to be a stationery thing, this opinion stuff, isn’t it? Yet if you ask me, our views change very slightly – or quite a lot – depending on the input we get. If you think about it, if we were locked in a room our opinion might stay the same. But it’s different being a human and going about the place: you’re constantly encountering new for and against arguments, and so you can’t help but revise the way you view things. You can’t fight against it, either, because these things, if you ask me, are out of our control.

I’ll probably always wonder what they do at laser hair removal berkshire , though, and unless the girl on the train starts handing out leaflets sometime in the near future, I probably always will.
