Why do you wear clothes? My female friends invariably accuse me of having naughty thoughts when I pose this question. Well, I am forced to clarify that I have no interest in stripping people so that I can do stuff that most people do when they take off their clothes. My question is- Why do we, human beings as a race, wear clothes? Have you seen any other animal wearing clothes?

Have you seen any other living being make use of natural and artificial things to cover the body? Well, most of my friends come up with the explanation that clothes are essential because our skin is sensitive and will suffer when exposed to the harsh elements of nature. Well, where is the question of being exposed to nature when you are in a room with an air conditioner and a dehumidifier running simultaneously?

When you work in a conditioned environment, why exactly do you need to wear clothes? This is the reason why I laugh whenever people try to come up with this protection against nature argument. The funny thing is that even the poorest of the poor spend money purchasing clothes. People go in for cheap fitted wardrobes but will never skip the option to save money.

From the richest person on the planet to the poorest person - each and every person finds it essential to wear clothes at all times. Call me silly or plain crazy but I really believe that we wear clothes simply because we are conditioned to do so. This is a cultural thing that has almost become a part of our genetic makeup. The fact remains that nature has given us the skin and we have sufficient control over nature to ensure that the harsh outer elements do not affect us badly. So my question remains – why clothes?

Now matter if you are from South London and living in Croydon doing your office cleaning Croydon job or you live in Surrey, chances are you would have heard the name Steve Jobs and have used one of the many products his company has developed. Jobs has touched the lives of many worldwide.

Steve Jobs helped bring modern personal computing into the mainstream. It all started with the Apple I and the Apple II and it was the Apple II that brought computers into homes, schools and businesses. Personal computing didn’t become accessible until the Macintosh, with the mouse and graphical user interface.

Hand in hand with revolutionizing personal computers is his role in developing modern operating systems such as Mac OS and OS X, which emphasized the user experience.

As all us gamesters know – and if you don’t then seriously, hurry up and get with the program! – the R4i Card and the Nintendo DSi changed the game in terms of mobile gaming and what’s possible to cram into a small, hand-held console. Using the powerful card – and when we say powerful we mean this little puppy can hold tons of games and even movies if you like – you can be on the train or bus or walking and have access to all your favourite games. And, as if all this wasn’t a sight of gorgeousness to behold, we have the never-less-than-awesome ‘augmented reality'thing which takes full advantage of your console’s camera. Now, how’s that for a flippin'brilliant thing?

For any newcomers who aren’t aware of what augmented reality is, here’s a quick lesson. Using some pretty nifty software and pointing the camera at stuff which is wherever you are, you can play wondrous games which utilize furniture and the like to create the best gamin experience yet! In other words, it really is impressive, and one of the most impressive things about it is how you can interact with it…

ou can watch movies on it, play games on it and listen to your favourite music

See, by moving the console around and shifting your viewpoint, the image on the screen – an image which is as 3D as it comes – also shifts and moves accordingly. It means that what you see really does appear to be there. This means that suddenly gaming isn’t confined to the indoors anymore, or even what’s on your screen. Using this latest technology, a whole universe of possibilities are unleashed for us to play with as we like!

Of course, we know what you might be thinking if you’re a stranger to this: you’ll be questioning whether or not this is really all that good. Well, here’s the thing: it actually damn well is! In this case 3D isn’t a gimmick at all. What it is is fun, enriching and something which can get exceedingly addictive…and we should know, right?

If you’re still wondering why the DSi is worth investing in, let us re-iterate that you can watch movies on it, play games on it and listen to your favourite music on it too. In other words, it’s the most complete multimedia experience that there possibly is and it does all these things impossibly well for such a small and compact device! Now, don’t you think that’s something for us all to shout about?

I have always been the one among my friends who as more interested in ways to invest money. Here I will write a bit about investment bonds even though they may not be as popular and glamorous as investing in real estate and stocks. They are nonetheless a prudent form of investment. Here are a number of advantages of investing in bonds.

Investment bonds are as safe as a diesel fuel storage tank and are the safest haven for your hard earned money. They are considered to be totally risk-free. As opposed to stocks which no one can claim to be an absolutely safe type of investment. However, some investment bonds, also known as junk bonds are quite risky.

The returns from investment bonds are slow but steady. You can always rely on the predictable and sureness of the returns generated from this investment. It is a great investment vehicle, especially for retirees who can rely on the income.

Bonds are sometimes the best and most decent options available and investing in bonds is far better than simply keeping the money in banks without any utility generating from that money as such. Investment bonds will give much higher rates of interest than a savings account.

In case of bankruptcy, the investors of bonds hold higher claim than shareholders on assets. Thus, they have the upper hand in case of a bankruptcy as well.

Bonds offer the least amount of risk that will give the best returns if you can invest on a long term basis.

Every day we’re told that we need to be special. We need to stand out from the crowd. Well, that’s true, I know, but what about manners? It is my humble ordinary-bloke opinion that in this day and age of unique-ness, manners are getting left behind and becoming famous is considered more important. Follow my lead, people, and do these things to keep manners alive:

1) Forget the stupid politics of it, if you see someone struggling with a door, open it for them. Only if you’re within near distance, of course. If you’re about 500 metres away then you will look pretty strange when you run over through a crowd of people to help out.

2) Music on trains and buses: sometimes you’ll sit there with a load of other people and someone will be playing their music too loud. Do you have to put up with it? No. Just ask them to please turn it down a bit. Nine times out of ten they don’t have a machete and aren’t at all angry, don’t worry.

3) Spitting on the street is nasty. Worse when it’s in the train station: that’s just not on. Feel free to tell people off for this, but do so with caution. It also helps if you are over 7 feet tall and look threatening.

4) People talking too loudly is a violation of the airwaves, make no mistaking! Be sure to point this out to people who commit the crime. Even if they work at D Q Global and clearly have millions of pounds, that is no excuse for annoying everyone around them, is it?

As a regular, every-day kind of English bloke, I’m probably a bit like you: I keep my opinions to myself. Well, I usually do, until the other day, when I found myself embroiled in a big fat argument at the bus stop.

It was their fault, not mine, honest guv!

When I arrived at the bus-stop there were all the usual crowd there. Then, five minutes later, three youths with hoodies on appeared. And it was all fine until they stopped listening to their music – which was bad enough – and started to swear.

Now, I am not a prude. I wouldn’t consider myself to be really into swearing either. The point, though, is this: there is a time and a place and this was neither. The swearing was offending people left and right, and you could tell. Everyone was staring at the floor.

I’d had enough, so I said “excuse me lads, but do you need to swear so loudly right here?”

I swear that every pair of eyes fell on me and they all took a step back.

The swearingest of the youths stepped up to me: “what is it to you mate?”

I said, “it’s nothing to me, but it’s something to all of us together,” and that was what sparked it off. The lads against me.

But the argument didn’t last long, because fortunately a few others stepped in before I got my head kicked in.

The moral of this story? It’s good to stand up for yourself, just be sure to do it when there are loads of witnesses standing around and you’re not carrying some designer homeware home to the missus…

The other day, me and a friend of mine ended up having a really bloated, technically exasperating conversation about Kiss. Not the act of kissing, but the infamous band with all the make-up. I was drunk and, come to think of it, he was drunk too. In other words, we were a couple of drunk fools proclaiming our love for Kiss and asking the universe why they had never received the critical acclaim from the General Public which they surely deserved.

Then just yesterday on the train, with the same friend, I said “I don’t like Kiss anymore” and this led to a new kind of exasperating conversation: one where he said I was talking rubbish, and that I love them.

This got me thinking about opinion. It’s supposed to be a stationery thing, this opinion stuff, isn’t it? Yet if you ask me, our views change very slightly – or quite a lot – depending on the input we get. If you think about it, if we were locked in a room our opinion might stay the same. But it’s different being a human and going about the place: you’re constantly encountering new for and against arguments, and so you can’t help but revise the way you view things. You can’t fight against it, either, because these things, if you ask me, are out of our control.

I’ll probably always wonder what they do at laser hair removal berkshire , though, and unless the girl on the train starts handing out leaflets sometime in the near future, I probably always will.

It’s all a bit tricky at the moment, so they tell me. Whatever you want to call it - the recession, the credit crunch, the crash, the complete END OF THE WORLD mayhem - it’s meaning that my cash flow situation isn’t quite all it could be. I’ve even had to indulge in payday loans from time to time, just to keep things on an even keel.

The thing is though, I’m starting to find that friends and family are becoming surprisingly positive even in the midst of all this mayhem. People who’ve not spoken to each other for years are getting in touch, popping over to each others'houses for a cheap bottle of wine, catching up, becoming reconciled. It’s cheesy but kind of poetic.

It’s a horrible old cliche to say how adversity can bring people together. But it seems to be true in this case. And I was wondering what I can do to try and make people feel happier - what the German poet Bertolt Brecht called “singing in the dark times”. I thought I might start by phoning my mum more, something that recently I’ve not been very good at. This has been going well although it does mean updating her on my relationship status (or lack thereof) more often than I’d like. But next I think I’ll start doing something properly good, like helping old ladies across the road more, or giving more food to the homeless. Or maybe I’ll start calling my sister more often as well!

This post is about Blenders . Actually that’s a bit imprecise: it’s more about blender philosophy and culture and all that Bohemian stuff that everyone should know about, including you. There. There you have it. So if you don’t like blenders, or you had a bad experience with a blender once (which does beg the question…what were you doing?) then you’re better off not reading this. That was a literary tactic to make you feel small and not want to read this, by the way. Because the truth is that if you don’t read the rest of this now then you are a fool, are you not? I mean…you’re already committed: what harm can it do?

I used to be someone who looked at people who went on about blenders and thought Come on mate, I know smoothies are alright and everything, but they’re not AMAZING.

I was wrong: smoothies are amazing. And the best thing? Obvious: you can chuck more or less anything into a blender and it’ll taste great. To demonstrate this to the extreme, my friend Loud Gerald went out in the street and collected some small rocks and dirt and threw that in. It knackered his blades completely – is there a disaster more terrible than that for a blender freak? – but still, it tasted amazing. You couldn’t tell that it was probably a death trap waiting to happen.

So this is to try and turn you around, if you are like how I used to be. It’s no way to live, my friend, so get a blender in your life and make good things happen NOW.

Recently I’ve been feeling the pressure from the “Cat People”. By “Cat People” I am not referring to a race of cat-and-human hybrids who only I can see and hear and communicate with – as everyone knows they watch us from the shadows and none of us really see them, but we always know they are there, whiskers twitching… – but people who love cats more than dogs and want the whole world to know it.

Well, all you devious Cat People, the games over, OK? I’m not playing anymore. And neither is my neighbour. She may well be senile and keep saying the words “laser hair removal bournemouth “over and over again for no good reason, but that’s beside the point.

As a long-time dog lover, I can’t remember ever forcing my dog-loving beliefs on other people. I wouldn’t dream of it. Each to his of her own, I say. But sadly, not everyone follows the same morally righteous code of conduct. Cat People don’t. Whenever I meet one they take the opportunity to shove their furry, cat-loving principles right in my face. As you will know if this has ever happened to you, It’s like having the back end of a cat forced onto your lips after it’s just been scraping it along the bottom of a filthy skip. And that wasn’t a metaphor. It really is like it in every single way.

I say revolt. I say let the chips fall where they may. I say the Dog People don’t and shouldn’t have to put up with this anymore. I say we make a stand before our kind are wiped-out.

What do you say, are you with me?
